Game shooting
is deep rooted in the history of Widdington Farm and
remains today an important aspect of the farm during the
season. Widdington Farm boasts a selection of drives covering both
sides of the valley of the Salisbury plains in which
the farm nestles.
Widdington
Farm shoot is predominantly partridge shooting and the
landscape lends itself to some fantastic drives off the
top of the valley. After 5 or 6 drives the shoot lunch
is prepared and served in the new state of the art
clubhouse where everyone reminisces on the days sport.
During the
game season the clay side of the farm is closed for
business as to not interfere with the primary focus
during this time, that of providing undoubtedly one of
the best partridge shoots in Wiltshire.
